We had a feeling that we were backing a winner recently when we arranged camera finance for some kit for a local photographer. Based on the outskirts of Manchester, James Russell Photography specialises in creating eye-catching commercial imagery. Working right across the North West, he crafts unique bespoke photographs for use in the PR, corporate, product, industrial, architectural and event photography sectors.
One of his great loves is portraiture, so naturally we called upon him to carry out photography for use on our own website, amongst other requirements. One of his best shots was of two of our colleagues at our Stockport office, shown here.
He’s just contacted us with the splendid news that this photograph, of Jamie and Mark, has won him a Silver Award at the North West British Professional Photography Awards in the Environmental Portraiture category. Jamie told us, “It was a good night at the Bluecoat in Liverpool at the end of March, where I picked up several awards – one silver, three bronzes and several merit awards. This shot in particular was an opportunity to use some arty lighting which I always enjoy doing”.
Through coming to Johnson Reed for finance, James was able to afford the very best equipment for his work. He realises that quality is all-important, and having the very latest kit featuring tomorrow’s technology today, will continue to help him to win more awards.
