Rochdale A.F.C are just one of many Greater Manchester based teams in the English Football League. Currently playing in League two, Rochdale will be looking to at least ensure safety in the division to maintain their status as an EFL team, and at JR we believe they will certainly achieve this!
However, Rochdale are far more than just a football club as their work off the pitch is just as important. The Rochdale AFC community trust is a group set up to carry out community work and charitable projects across the Rochdale area. They want to use the power of the beautiful game, along with the spirit of the Rochdale community in order to raise aspirations and transform lives. The ultimate goal of the charity is to make Rochdale one of the best places to live, work and play! Some of the key areas that the organisation work in are:
- Ensuring they can provide opportunities for every one of all ages and abilities to play sport in order to raise aspiration of what they could achieve in a sporting career.
- Commitment to support people with the development of new skills, confidence and help them to fulfil ambitions they may have from a working career perspective.
- Improve cultural awareness and understanding within the Rochdale area. They want to provide leadership, direction and new opportunities that can provide alternatives to people turning to things such as crime and drugs.
Back in the stadium, Rochdale offer hospitality on match days which are perfect to reward employees, entertain clients or simply to treat friends and family to a VIP experience at the Spotland Stadium! To ensure their box areas remain to a high standard of customer service, Rochdale AFC decided to utilise Johnson Reed’s leasing options in order to install coffee machines, courtesy of supplier Majestic Coffee, so fans’ match day experience can be enhanced with complimentary coffee whilst in a box. Football teams are not immune to the challenging times we are facing right now and Rochdale were fully aware of the benefits they would receive by keeping cash in the club, making it a no brainer for them!
