It sounds delightful, doesn’t it? The Belgian Arms. A ‘great Britsh pub’ situated in the pretty village of Holyport, Maidenhead, set back from the green, overlooking the pond. And they offer really tasty British food that’s beautifully cooked, a great selection of wines and a really good pint.
Now Dominic Chapman has added another USP to his restaurant offering – a water purification system, which means he has the opportunity to offer his customers water bottled and branded with the Belgian Arms identity. He didn’t have to spend money like water either. He came to Johnson Reed.
With our knowledge of finance for the catering and restaurant sector, we were able to source one of the best systems on the market, at a cost of just over £5,000. Dominic can repay this over 36 months with fixed payments, whilst the kudos of this unusual pub product carries on increasing customer awareness of his service. Customers can, of course, take bottles away with them as an added reminder.
It was only a small deal for us, but we still gave the client our usual thorough and courteous service. We only needed the very basic information up front, whereupon we could advance the funds, with no charge on the property.
And, before you ask, as far as we’re aware, the water he uses doesn’t come from the village duck pond across the road.
